Student Resources

NYU Library
Bobst is NYU’s main library, where you can check out books (departments sometimes place textbooks on Reserve, so students can check them out for at least 2 hours), reserve study rooms, and scan for free in addition to a plethora of other services. NYU students also have access to other libraries in NYC:

Wasserman Center for Career Development
Looking for a job? Visit Wasserman’s website to browse postings from a variety of companies, RSVP for workshops (such as resume writing and interviewing skills), or attend an on-campus info session:

NYU Student Health Center
If you aren’t feeling well, you can visit the Student Health Center by making a same-day appointment online or via phone, regardless of your insurance. The SHC also offers primary care and specialty services, depending on your insurance:

Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences (CIMS)
As part of the Center for Data Science, Courant has provided you with a username and password that will grant you access to on-campus computing labs, and a CIMS e-mail address that automatically forwards messages to your NYU Home e-mail account. Current students can use this site to request a CIMS account:

NYU Bookstores
NYU has 2 physical stores: the Main Bookstore and the Computer Store. In order to find out which books you’ll need for the upcoming semester, please visit the NYU Bookstore website and click on the red “Bookstore” link, followed by “Search for a Book.” On the resulting page, you will have the opportunity to input your NYU ID number, which will feed your schedule into system, and display a page with books that your professors have requested the bookstore to carry. In addition, the site has useful resources, such as “Compare Textbook Prices” and “Textbook Rentals:”

NYU Homepage
The NYU homepage has a “Quicklinks” section, which includes a Campus Map, Student Resources, ITS, etc. Its home page also displays interesting NYU information and accomplishments:
